Course Content
- Course Introduction.
- Liaison with others.
- Risk Assessment.
- Planning the work.
- Safe procedures and systems , preparing to dig, installation service.
- Safe digging techniques.
- Introduction to location & detection equipment – functional checks.
- Searching for services, pinpointing and trace underground services, clamping.
- Safe operation of Plant, Safe digging, accidental contact , Safety in Excavations
Requirements
- Valid Solas Safe Pass Card
- I.D (Passport or Driving Licence.)
- PPS Number
- Completed Candidate Pack
- 1 x Passport Photo
- Candidate must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E)
- Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or over
Certification
On successful completion of the Location of Underground Services Assessment candidates will be issued with a Solas CSCS card and a QQI certificate.
